"You're Beautiful" DVD sees high sales in Korea

"You're Beautiful" director's cut DVD [SBS]
The DVD for last year's hit Korean drama "You're Beautiful" is seeing high sales in Korea, according to SBS' Contents Hub on Wednesday. SBS announced in a press release that the director's cut version of "You're Beautiful" is currently the best-selling DVD in the country with about 7,000 copies sold since its release in February. In November, SBS plans to release a compact DVD in Japan which will feature commentaries, interviews of the actors and deleted scenes. SBS said they have received about 2,300 orders in advance for the DVD although they have not started taking orders officially. "You're Beautiful", about a girl who pretends to be a man to join the popular idol group A.N.JELL, aired in Korea during the latter half of 2009 and maintained viewership ratings in the 10 percent range against hit blockbuster series "IRIS" during its run. The show saw even bigger success overseas, selling its publication rights to several broadcasters in Asia including China's CCTV, Thailand's BBTV, Philippines' ABS-CBN and Singapore's MATV. "You're Beautiful", currently airing on Japan's Fuji TV, scored the highest viewership rating amongst other shows in the same timeslot last week.

| i watched this long ago
at first it was great, there were a lot of scenes where you can laugh( and i mean A LOT) after a few episodes it got boring and the girl annoyed me,
and i stopped watching

| Of course!!! I loved that drama. Even against it's top competitor it held up... so proud. My fave parts werent' necessarily the romance or the singing, but the lead character... the guy whose name I can't remember. His personality is so unique and well played, that I found myself searching him and looking at his other works. The lead characer (not the actor) was SO FREAKIN AWESOME!!! Hands down, best fictional character of ALL TIME!!!

| ME WANT!!!!!!!!  Loved this drama!!!! Have the soundtracks and got a little version of the pigrabbit and a calendar. Hong Ki is so cute and funny. I would tell anyone that this is a good drama to watch.

| This is the first Drama I ever saw and I have completely fallen in love with it!
The female leads cutsey voice sometimes got annoying but otherwise I adored the cast and surprisingly teared up for Jeremy!
I didn't expect too as he didn't have a large role in the romance part but there I was a tear in my eye when he got rejected.
