| Title: Hakuouki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~  Synopsis: The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru, is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru's protectors and help her look for her father(the doctor). Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shinsengumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group. The story is overall romantic with a historical and political background. (Credits to myanimelist.net and Hakuouki Official website) Genres: Historical, Drama, Shoujo Number of Episodes: 12 (Complete) ---------------------------------------------------- I absolutely loved this anime  There is also a second season scheduled to be released in October, so I'm definately looking forward to that!  In my opinion, Hakuouki has a great storyline along with great fight scenes too 
If you like bishies and reverse harem, I'm pretty sure you'll love this

| I love historical & vampire animes, this has got both. I really loved this series and glad they are going to continue the story and do a season 2, can't wait.

| I rlove it! saitou is soooo hot!! but the other guys are also great. I'm still waiting for one of them to "team up" with the girl (forgot the name...) I'm really looking forward to the next season. it's coming in autumn/fall, right? and, it has some educational value. although I didn't know 'til after the last episode lol

| The art is beautiful, but aside from that I was attracted to the anime because it reference the Shinsengumi. I just love historical fiction. I'm hoping the second season gets sub soon. I cant wait to watch it. not gonna watch the raw since I cant understand it and dont want to spoil anything ^_^
